NIW Recommendation Letter Examples: Strong Letters Do Proof Work

A strong NIW recommendation letter is not just warmer praise. It is first-hand, specific, corroborated, and assigned to a clear proof job.

Canonical question: What should stronger NIW recommendation letter examples demonstrate?

Expected output: A recommender example plan that assigns one proof job, one fact set, and one corroboration path to each letter.

TL;DR

Many recommendation letter examples look strong because they sound enthusiastic. That is not the real test.

A stronger letter explains:

  • why the writer has first-hand knowledge
  • which fact they can support
  • how that fact supports the case
  • which documents can corroborate it

Weak pattern

The applicant is brilliant, innovative, and outstanding.

This may sound positive, but it does not prove much by itself.

Stronger pattern

A stronger letter names the project, the applicant's role, the observed result, and the records the writer reviewed or personally saw.

Portfolio rule

Use one main proof job per recommender. One letter might cover technical contribution, another implementation impact, another external significance, and another future feasibility.

After reading do this

  1. Assign one main proof job to each recommender.
  2. Give each writer a short fact set.
  3. Mark the exhibits or records that can corroborate those facts.
